When Expression of Interest forms go into the Pool, they are selected on the basis of points claimed against many factors. And when an EOI is selected at the Pool, the persons is issued with an Invitation to Apply, which lets the person to apply for a resident visa under New Zealand’s Investor 2 Category.
An Invitation of Apply is issued to a person on the basis of his/her Expression of Interest, given:
- The information included in the EOI does not indicate any health and character issues which may make him/her ineligible to be granted with a resident visa; AND
- The immigration official must get convinced that the person has claimed points for age; language ability; business experience; investment funds and settlement funds.
- The selection of an EOI from the Pool may not result in the issue of an Invitation to Apply for a NZ resident visa under the Investor 2 Category.
- And the issue of an Invitation to Apply, however, does not guarantee that a person will be granted a NZ resident visa.
