Iran Allows Mothers of Imprisoned Americans to Visit Them!

Iran will allow the mothers of jailed US hikers to converse with them in a Tehran prison somewhere in two months from now. The announcement has been made by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki, stating that the decision has been as a direct impact from humanitarian grounds.

Keeping in mind the tension between both the countries, the move from Iran is seen as a positive outcome to curb down the burning tightness between Iran and U.S. the nuclear program from Iran’s side had made the matter worse in the past.

Also, the past witnessed Swiss diplomats visiting the three prisoners and applauding two out of them in extremely bad health condition. Hence, a move from Iran’s side would ease down all the apprehensions which has happened in the past to certain extend.

Mottaki during his speech on state television confirmed that the mothers would be granted visas to visit their sons (Shane Bauer, Sarah Shourd and Josh Fattal, graduates of the University of California) in the concerned jail.

The accused were blamed of illegally entering the border and getting involved in spy related activities, hence they were kept under trail. But the accused prisoners said that they cross the border without any intentions to get indulged into spying!

No further clarifications has been provided as to where the visas would be issued, but reports say that Iran’s U.N. mission in New York could be one of the places.

Mothers are obviously excited to hear the news but are eager to get official words from the visa departments.
