When an Expression of Interest goes into the Pool, they are first ranked taking the number of points claimed against certain factors, such as age; language efficiency; business experience; and investment funds under the Investor 2 Category into consideration.
After the consideration of the EOIs, they are selected from the Pool according to their points ranking in sufficient numbers in order to meet the requirements set in the NZ residence program.
Here are a few facts you should know:
- An Expression of Interest is valid for a period of just 6 months, which is counted from the date of its submission until the Pool occurs. Learn more about the currency of an Expression of Interest from an Immigration expert.
- An invalid EOI or which is longer current is withdrawn from the Pool.
- An EOI is also withdrawn from the Pool if it is rejected after selection since that does not satisfy the prerequisites for entry to the Pool and no Invitation to Apply is issued.
