Mumbai Immigration Racket Busted!

An immigration racket has been busted by the Mumbai Crime Branch, taking into custody two main accused behind the scam. Ashim Ahmed Ali Ansari, aged 33, and Chaitali Sanjay Patel (Reshma Ashim Ansari) aged 26 have been seized for getting involved in fake immigration scams. Reports say that both have been found carrying forged visas and passports for the United States.

If sources are to be believed, they are applauded as “duo,” who applied for the non-immigrant visas and were due for an interview by the consulate earlier this week. According to an official from the Crime branch, their passports were taken into scrutiny and went under speculation for their genuineness. Later, it was found that the visas have been applied under forged names for which a complaint was filed by the consulate’s assistant regional security officer in the nearby police station at Gamdevi.

Thorough investigations made Chaitali reveal her real identity. She also disclosed about her residence in Gujarat while Ansari told the officials that an agent guided them to fake spouse relationship with Chaitali so that they could claim for their visas.

The officer also confirmed the identity of Chaitali in the name of Reshma on the passport which was issued at the Pune RPO while her fake spouse has a passport granted from the Mumbai office.

In addition to this, their passports have stamps of two used Malaysian and Thailand visas, which were fake too. He went on to say that the investigations are now on look for the agent who guided them through this fake application process.
