Muslim Scholar, Once Banned In the US, Now Speaks In Oakbrook Terrace

A Muslim scholar who was once barred to enter the US premises by the Bush government in the year 2004, made his first ever public appearance in the US after he was given his visa.

The Swiss born Muslim scholar is a renowned scholar in one of the renowned institutions, Oxford University. According to a representative from Council on American-Islamic Relations in Chicago, this intelligent professor is a voice for Western Muslims.

Reports confirm that it has been six years since his visa was curbed down, while he was on the verge of joining Notre Dame University. The ace Muslim, Tariq Ramadan, is one of the most important speakers for CAIR-Chicago’s annual banquet. More than thousand people are speculated to come and attend the occasion at the Drury Lane Banquet Hall. He is expected to sign copies of his book, “What I Believe” on the same occasion.

Ramadan, a controversial figure, was blamed for supporting terrorist activities. But his ban received a reversal by Hillary Clinton in the beginning of this year. The professor holds uttermost recognition all over the world as he was applauded as one of the globe’s 100 most influence personalities tagged by the TIME magazine.

He is speculated to speak on the topic of various situations and circumstances faced by Western Muslims. He was also noticed delivering a lecture at Cooper Union College earlier this week. In addition to his concerned activities, he also held a meeting with the officials who belong to American Civil Liberties Union who were one of his deepest supports during his ban.
