New Changes to NZ Investor Migration Policy Effective from 25th July!

Latest changes to ease investor immigration to New Zealand are going to be effective from 25th July 2011. After a recent immigration policy review, the NZ government has announced several reforms in Investor Migrant Programs on 6th May 2011.

Encouraged by the heavy influx of investment by the business and investor migrants in New Zealand economy, the government has introduced several changes in Investment Program requirements to ease the investor immigration further and make it more effective to the economy.

The main benefits of these changes are by diminishing residence requirements to only 44 days annually for Investor Plus candidates globally mobile candidates can be persuaded to opt for the scheme. Now high net worth candidates who are active worldwide and incapable to fulfill existing residential requirements can easily be interested in the program.

The government has expanded the list of acceptable investment sectors to real estate. Investor immigrants can now invest in these extended assets and a large figure of New Zealand financial institutions can be benefitted with these foreign investments.

Investment can be made into residential properties as these are now acceptable investment. It is to advantage the huge potential in construction sector from investment funded by investor immigrant. Now many big investors whose choice is real estate can be persuaded to apply for Investor Plus program. Investment is open for new sites or existing projects to develop them and augment the housing stock for NZ residents.
