Orphaned brothers from China Separated!

Gao Zhi Xiang, a 19 year old teen who came to Canada to see his dying mother last month is unsure of how to break the news of his separation with his brother Zhi Xin, aged 8, who shares a PR status in Canada. The teen has been ordered deportation back to his home country after coming to Canada on a Visitor’s Visa. He now has to leave his brother under the care of Children’s Aid in the nation.

Reports say that their mother, Lin Mei Zhang, was given asylum in the nation she faced death, dying of colon cancer, meanwhile her application for getting a PR status in Canada still awaits approval.

Gao went on to say that they just have one relative living in Toronto, who too is living in an undocumented manner in the country and has been ordered deportation as well. Rather, he and his mother would have received a PR was back in the last year if their application would NOT have been put on hold by an official from the immigration department at that time. The facet which led to holding the application was that the photograph of the mother in the application did not matched the real her when she went for the interview.

The mother died after one day of arrival of Gao in the country. She was too sick to commence with her immigration process. Now the 8 year old Zhi Xin has only two caretakers left in the country, both of them facing deportation back to their home land.

It has been hoped that immigration officials show their mercy on humanitarian grounds and let the two brothers stay together.
