Pursuant to a report from a reliable source, the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) of Quebec, has recently made a very surprising announcement at their regular scheduled meeting, affecting Investor applications from the Iranian applicants.
According to the recent amendment, as of November 21, 2011, to the Special Economic Measures (Iran) Regulations, the MICC has declared that they will not accept immigration applications in Iran, from Iranian people, under the Immigrant Investor Program.
Moreover, their intention is to accept the files, received by the MICC before November 22, 2011. Hence, they plan to send back all the files from Iran received from November 22, onwards. The report also reveals that the MICC will shortly inform whether they will accept files from Iranian nationals living outside their country.
However, the Ministry of Immigration and Cultural Communities (MICC) of Quebec assured that this will not affect those applicants, who have submitted a file before November 22, 2011. These files will go for normal processing. The MICC will soon be releasing an official notice about their position on Iranian files, probably next week.
