Pursuant to recent report by a reliable source, the Danish Agency for Labour Retention and International Recruitment (DALRIR) intends to allow the overseas researchers to apply digitally for residence and work permit in the similar way that of other highly skilled professionals are allowed to do.
The said report has also revealed that on 19 March 2012, AR1 online, the new edition of the digital application form was released. Overseas researchers can use this latest edition which will help them to apply for Danish residence and work permit.
This digital form has two segments, and the overseas researchers and research institutions in Denmark have to fill in one segment each. The Denmark research institutions start the process of the application by filling in segment 1 of that digital form.
However, the research institutions have to log on and sign part 1 by using a digital employee signature or personal NemID. This digital form provides detailed information regarding the method of filling and submitting the form.
The said report mentioned that with the release of this new edition of AR1 online, the ST2 paper application form will no longer be in practice. Before, the release of AR1 online application, the overseas researchers had to use ST2 application form employed at research institutions of Denmark. In case the researchers want to submit a paper application form, which is contrary to the digital form – they should go for AR1.
