The category for Skilled Workers under the Saskatchewan Immigration Nominee Program lets those international skilled workers or those who have been working as managers to apply for immigration to the province of Saskatchewan. To be eligible for this category, a nominee applicant must have an employment offer in hand from a Saskatchewan local employer. The category is further divided into 3 sub-categories. They are;
- Skilled Workers/Professionals
- Existing Work Permit and
- Critical Occupations
Here are the eligibility criteria that the SINP expects every applicant of the Skilled Workers category to meet any one of them in order to immigrate to Saskatchewan:
- An applicant must have a permanent regular employment offer from a Saskatchewan local employer in either of these positions- skilled worker; managerial or professional; or a designated Saskatchewan trade, which is included in the National Occupational Classification; Or
- An applicant must have worked in Saskatchewan for a minimum period of 6 months. He/she must be working on a temporary work permit in an occupation or a designated trade that is included in the National Occupational Classification.
