Australian Capital Territory “Federal Capital Territory” or ACT as it is popularly known as is a region located in the south eastern part of Australian mainland, nested within New South Wales. This territory houses the capital of the country i.e. Canberra.
ACT is indicated as port of first entry by most of the new entrants into the country and this thriving and prosperous region has gradually gained prominence as center of dense economic activity and houses several high profile businesses. For the Australian Skilled Immigration under provincial nomination it is necessary that you must
- Indicate a trade from the integrated skills tabulation – CSOL
- Submit evidences of your academic qualifications and professional exposure to the designated evaluation agency and get a positive skills advice
- Write IELTS examination and score a minimum of IELTS 7 to substantiate your skills at par with atleast OET B
- Score a minimum of 60 marks in critical profile evaluation process to be deemed eligible for selection for nomination by ACT
In the September 2013 The Australian Capital Territory Immigration department will restart nominating people for temporary and permanent residential permit under skills and business migration. The authorities are going to include some new classes into the state centric required skills tabulation which include

In September, the Australian Capital Territory has announced that they will re-commence nominations for a number of new skilled occupations, in addition to the large number of occupations they already offer sponsorship for.
