UK Has No Bar on Talents!

So what the European country has put the first annual immigration cap on non-European Union migrants? The nation is still welcoming to the most talented people across the world’s corners. Talented people need not really worry about the limit being imposed on various migration routes.

UK’s economic migration routes- Tier1, Tier 2 and Tier 4 have undergone crucial changes. This was an attempt by the Coalition government to slash down the migration level to a sustainable level. But, this is by no means to deter the brightest and the most talented people seeking a UK visa to immigrate to the country.

While the changes to the Tier 1 and Tier 2 of the points-based system are already in place, alterations to Tier 4- which is solely dedicated to international students are shortly to take place. The adjustments to all these routes are being made taking the ‘talent’ factor into consideration. These routes have been readjusted to cater to international high value migrants. For example, under the current arrangements, foreign investors, entrepreneurs and individuals with exceptional talent can set up businesses and settle in the country much easily as compared to earlier.

Entrepreneurs and investors are not bound by any limit on the number of visas to be obtained. Thus, Tier 1 business categories have been highly benefited by the changes being imposed. As far as Tier 2 route is concerned, visas to be issued to skilled people from non-EU nations is capped at 20,700, however, Intra-company Transfer visas are exempted from the cap.

Indian, being one of the largest immigrant communities in the UK, the UKBA’s Regional Communications Manager for South Asia, Sam Murray hopes that India would continue to invest and work in the UK, by making most of the current arrangements.
