“Immigration” Would Be Considered After “Climate”!

According to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, the wish is to put forward the climate legislation before thinking about the much-awaited Immigration bill. On the contrary, Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham has expressed his anguish over the decision, stating that nothing has changed so far. He went on to say that plenty of leaders who are not at all SERIOUS bout either the climate bill, nor the Immigration bill. He has also said that no support would be provided if Climate bill would come ahead of the Immigration legislation.

But Reid said that the energy bill is ready as compared to the Immigration bill. Hence the movement of the former would take place rapidly. He confirmed that he does not have an Immigration bill at present.

Graham’s threat to withdraw all the support has led to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass, comment on this issue and come out in public too. He confirmed that he has worked with Reid and Graham to make amendments in the bill, the same has been going into the process of evaluation since the last six months.

The legislation has the motto to curb pollution caused from greenhouses gases. The legislation has got its support from Obama administration as well as other groups too. He said that there has been no stoppage since then. In addition, talks and meetings are going on in full pace.

Also, people say that taking Immigration bill ahead of climate may offend the environmentalists and curb down the efforts to address global warming.

Reid earlier said that both Immigration and Energy are equally important.
