In what could be the pushiest immigration levels registered in the current Canadian history hitherto, close to 1 million new immigrants will settle in Canada, from 2018 to 2020.

The administration’s latest multi-year Immigration Levels Plan has set the aspiring goal. While the economic migrants will form the bulk of new permanent residents, allowed admission to the country, the most economic new entrants are set to move, via the Express Entry System.

Goals for the economic classes largely, and the Express Entry precisely, will head north per annum until 2020. Through the plan, 310,000 fresh permanent residents will make the Maple Leaf Country their home in 2018. The goal will be improved to 330,000 new entrants in 2019, with an additional 340,000 to settle in 2020.

Express Entry Target Admissions

Under the Express Entry System, for 2017, Canada Immigration has set a target intake of 71,700 migrants. For 2018, the target intake is 74,900 migrants, showing a rise of 3,200 migrants or 4% over the preceding period. For 2019, the target intake is 81,400, showing a rise of 6,700 migrants or 9% over the previous period. For 2020, the target intake is 85,800 migrants revealing an increase of 4,400 migrants or 5% over the preceding period.

PNP Target Admissions

The government’s Provincial Nominee Programme is equally, if not more, motivated even while it is targeted to dramatically improve the tally of the migrant intake.

For 2017, the target intake is 51,000 migrants. For 2018, the target intake is 55,000 migrants showing an increase of 4,000 migrants or 8% over the preceding period.

For 2019, the target intake further jumps and becomes 61,000 migrants, revealing an increase of 6,000 migrants or 11% over the previous period. For 2020, the target intake is 67,800 migrants, and this is with an increase of 6,800 migrants or 11% over the previous period.
