The First Canada-India Education Summit in Ottawa!

The 1st Canada-India Education Summit is starting from 17th June in Ottawa. It is expected that this summit will boost up the educational and research ties between these two great countries.

According to a report, this year Canada is registering double number of Indian students as compared to the one witnessed last year which stood at 4000. This two-day event at Carleton University will increase the Indian enrolments in Canada.

The top researchers and scholars from both the countries will take part in the summit discussion which will be inaugurated by the Minister of State for Human Resources Development from India.

According to the President of Carleton University, this is the very first summit on education between India and Canada. This summit will ensure better educational and research opportunities for the students. The main agendas of this summit will include combined research, exchange of students and creating more educational opportunities for students in both the countries.

This education summit will result in the increase of students in Canada from India. Right now there are 15 Indian universities taking part in this summit.

The subject of this conference will include various aspects, such as: ‘Dynamics of Higher Education in India and in Canada,’ ‘Co-tutelle and joint programs,’ ‘Credit transfer and degree recognition,’ ‘Technology in international teaching,’ ‘Joint research,’ and ‘Designing the path forward.’

This summit is organized by the High Commission of India, the Foreign Affairs and International Trade Department of Canada and the International Trade and the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute.
