Immigration Test for General Skilled Migration Visa

Immigration to Australia on academic grounds or employment requires the candidate to clear the IELTS test. The most popular test conducted worldwide accepted by 135 countries. The organizations acceptable under this test are universities, schools, training colleges, institutes, governmental organizations, industries, businesspersons and multinational companies.

According to the Australian immigration IELTS requirement 2012 the candidate to be accepted must acquire a maximum score of 9 henceforth eligible for any organization in any country specified. The status of the job or academic position depends entirely upon the level or standard of English language cleared. On the other hand, the applicant enrolling for particular course or specific job must and should pass the required level of English language test asked.

The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) conducts two tests, one for academics and the other for training purposes. For studies, both are required in case the applicant wished for permanent residency on basis of employment. The speaking, writing, reading and listening are the competencies skills tested by the authorities.

The Australian immigration IELTS requirement 2012 is based on categories of General Skilled Migration visa. Depending on the language proficiency, the candidate is listed in one of the seven levels specified by the Australian immigration authorities. The applicants scoring the highest of 7 or more are listed as proficient or excellent. If secured 6, 5 and minimum 4 the candidate is classified as competent, moderate, poor and zero knowledge. The Companies accept the candidates by scores specified.

The scores so obtained are valid for a period of two years whereby should appear for a re-test. The minimum IELTS requirement score for teachers and engineers are 6 and 7 respectively for both general and academic training test. This test is mandatory for individuals above 18 years of age, unless exempted by the authorities. The test requirement is eliminated for individuals holding passport of United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, New Zealand, Canada and United States of America.
