In a somewhat remarkable development, the UK labour party chief has reportedly observed that the previous Labour administration’s immigration policy was not too positive adding he presently has a fresh approach to the subject. He further said that he now opines that low-trained movement made from the European Union (EU) has been very high even as the same has signified that some British citizens have been robbed of the opportunity to get employed in their own nation.
The party chief further said that certain strategies may prove helpful in decreasing the flow of low-skilled EU migrants into Britain, such as putting the maximum transitional checks for fresh nations coming into the Union from the Eastern European regions; appropriately implementing the minimum income, so that individuals aren’t ushered in to destabilize the local manpower; and offer suitable guidance & instruction to the manpower already present in the country, so that they get a fair opportunity of filling the available job-openings.
Nationals to get a fair chance
He continued that although there is nothing wrong with recruiting persons from overseas, the regulations and laws require being just. He also said that every visitor to the nation be asked to be comfortable with English, and that those who are not in a position to converse in the language be disallowed from getting employed in the public domain wherein public interaction could be needed.
Perhaps, the labor party head was responding to certain public opinion surveys which allegedly reveal that the Labour Party has become poorer of much support, as it had permitted rather high levels of movement of people from abroad–from 1997 to 2010.
