Under the plan, you can live and work in the country if you have scored not less than 100 points on the point system based on criteria, such as education, work experience, language skills, and age. Under the plan points are scored in five categories, such as:

• Education: You must have Bachelor’s Degree equivalent to Danish Degree. Your academic credentials will be checked by the CIRIUS–a body under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation. Bonus points can be earned for obtaining a degree from a top college. The nation has special requirements for degrees earned from certain countries, like India and Pakistan.
• Work Experience: You earn points on the basis of prior work-experience.
• Age: Immigrants are preferred below 50 years of age and above 18 years.
• Language Skills: To earn points fluency of one of the following language is must–Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, English or German.
• Adaptability: To earn points, it’s vital that you have studied or worked in the European Union or European Economic Area (EEA). You can only claim points for either of the two, and not the both.

Significantly, even after scoring 100 points, under point based system, you will have to proof that you are financially sufficient enough to support yourself and your family, at least for a year or till the time your look out for a job in the country.
