Students Affected by College Closures Eligible for “Nil Visa Application Charge”

Commencing from 1st January onwards, the Australian Migration Regulations would allow the applicants who hold Student Visa to continue with their studies and file an application for another Student Visa for a “Nil visa application charge.”

The condition is applicable for the ones who have been greatly hampered with the closure of their educational institutions in the last one year (https://blog.abhinav.com/2000-students-hit-by-the-cease-of-oz-colleges/)

Australia has been in news for al the wrong reasons as far as recent times are concerned. Be it the racial attacks, stringent regulations for Student Visa or the unexpected closures of the educational institution. The Australian government is doing all it can do improve the image of its country that has been hampered by the recent incidents.

One of the measures is to provide certain Transitional provisions which were implemented last year on November 9. The provisions gave the rights to the affected students to file an application for a VAC refund. Students planning to choose Australia as a prospective country to study must consult an Immigration and Visa Consultant to go for a better future. Also an expert advice from a veteran would allow the applicants to know as to what is right for them and what is not while making a decision to stay in an altogether new country!
