Indian Students Enrolment Declines in Victorian Institutions!

One can call it the after effects of the racial attacks or the rigid Immigration regulations. What ever is it, the number of students going to Victorian study institutions has declined by a huge margin. If the statistics from the previous year are to be seen, a drop of around 40% has been seen in the enrollments this year.

Reports from “The Age” elaborate that overseas students are not showing their interest in Victorian colleges. Shocking figures are seen in the case of Indian students, the number which has downfallen from 6303 to 3761, which is almost half in number!

Contrary to Victorian colleges, universities with higher education all over the nation experienced a fad of 10%, but for a shorter duration only. But Victoria was an exception!

Malaysian students are also not showing their interest to study in Victorian colleges. The figures point a declining fad of 32%, while those coming from Korea have shown a drop of 13%. Seriously, the trend of massive decline has been seen for almost all the prospective countries who were once the major source providers of students to Victoria.

Experts are of the view that the decline is a result of stringent Immigration rules, as imposed to racial attacks, which a majority of people believe is the main reason for this fall!

But these facets cannot rule out the fact that Australia has always been one of the prospective countries to study.
