Last two months saw an increasingly high percentage of fake passports witnessed by the Sahar Police. The police officials have affirmed that a minimum of two cases per day are a usual routine for them. And one can expect such occurrences to hike even further in the upcoming future. Senior inspector Dilip Patil confirms that two cases are registered on an average every day!

Apart from dealing with regular crime cases like murder, forgery, rape, burglary, to name a few, the Sahar police takes care of the fraud visas cases as well. That’s a massive responsibility in itself. And on the verge of that, the police officials have managed to grab 123 people in the concerned cases since the last two months.

Stats say that last 16 years have witnessed almost 10,000 fake visa cases; all of them are stored in the cabinets of the police station. The police station has record of all the seized passports kept in its premises. Reports elaborate that the court returned a total of 3,500 passports to their authentic owners, the ones which were actually stolen or tampered with in the past 24 months.

The cases of such kinds are increasing on a regular level. Furthermost, the presence of fake consultants makes it all the more easy to commence a fake process to get the visas, the end result of which is seen in front of all.
