Somalian Criminal Pleading to Stay in Canada!

Mohamed Said Jama, a native from Somalia is pleading to stay back in Canada, as the Canadian federal government is preparing to deport him for the second time since he is a criminal. The 40-year-old criminal came to Canada in 1991 as a Geneva Convention refugee, who was later being accused for multiple crimes in Canada.

Canadian government first attempted to deport him after he was convicted in 2005 of robbery in Winnipeg, where he stabbed a person in the cheek. As a result of the attack, the person was left in permanent body scar and undergone surgery. Jama was supposed to send back in the fall last year, but the government’s efforts were failed, as they could not arrange a charter flight from Kenya to Somalia. After that they took back Jama to Canada and released thereafter on a bond, where he promised to report the Canadian Border Services on monthly basis, as well as asked not to keep in touch with known criminals. Despite this, Jama went underground until March 19, and eventually Winnipeg police found him in the company of a criminal and put into custody ever since. He is supposed to be held in Stony Mountain till June and then transferred to a provincial jail till the time he is removed from Canada.

When the government is once again attempting to deport back the man to his home country, he is making a scene out of the situation. He is pleading the government to allow him to stay in Canada, saying that if he is being deported he would be given a death sentence in his native country due to his family connections. But, the Canadian federal government, the courts and the Immigration and Refugee Board said that there are not sufficient evidences to support his claim. According to the government and the immigration department, if Jama is barred from deportation, he would be a danger to the Canadian public!
