Canada’s Changing rules of Immigration!

Canada and Australia has introduced some major changes in their immigration policies. Four months back, Australia stopped taking new visa applications because of high level of immigration but now, Australia changed its decision and now welcoming the new applications.

Canada has introduced a modified Occupation in Demand List, which includes professions like Primary Production Manager (excluding agriculture), Claims Examiners, Biologists and Rebated Scientist, Architecture, Social Workers, Pharmacists, Adjusters while deleting few other occupations.

It is mandatory for all federal skilled worker applicants to have enough experience in any one of all the twenty nine in demand professional fields or must have an appointment letter to be eligible for permanent residency in Australia or Canada. But there are some limitations imposed on this liberal policy as well. In case of Canada, it will consider only twenty thousands applications and from each occupation, maximum one thousand applications will be accepted. But those candidates who already have job offer from his employer will not be counted in the restricted cap.

Now, all the Canadian experience class candidates and Federal Skilled Workers will have to submit their complete and correct file which includes their IELTS score to the Central Intake Unit when they will be filing their visa application. With this change there is a possibility that the immigration of Indians to Canada will slow down leading to a great loss to many immigration and visa consultancy companies.

The chairman and managing director of ABHINAV (www.abhinav.com) says that previously around thirty thousands families used to migrate to Canada from India. They all used to migrate under the category of Skilled Worker Program contributing to the economy boom of Canada. Amongst all the countries, India comes in second position from where immigrants come to Canada. But now it seems that Australia will take the place of Canada and will become the top most priority for Indians to migrate.
