It was found by the Department of Homeland Security that the victim was only known by the initials – L.R. She had shown that the Government of Mexico was not ready to protect her. Finding her case favorable, he was granted asylum by an immigration judge. This decision was announced by her attorneys a few days back. They also said that this case is the second case of asylum which has been approved on the basis of allegations pertaining to domestic violence.
