Melbourne Immigration Detention Centre Faces Brawl!

Melbourne immigration detention centre recently faced dispute involving 50 Afghan asylum seekers, courtesy which an investigation would be conducted soon.

According to Sandi Logan, who is the spokes person from the Department of Immigration, the asylum seekers were unaccompanied minors. They faced association with number of disputes and brawls happening in the dinning area of the Melbourne Immigration Transit Accommodation centre.

The nasty fights took place after a transfer of 98 asylum seekers happened from Australia’s Christmas Island detention centre to the Melbourne centre. The scene turned into a huge hassled process that it went dirty.

Reports say that seven of them are seriously injured. They are between the age group of 15 to 18 were taken for urgent medication. They faced severe cuts while one of them has a possible fracture in nose.

One of them is still under medical examination while the others have been sent back to the centre. It has been confirmed by Mr. Logan that the dining room has been damaged in a major way. In addition to this, the doors, inner furniture as well as the windows are also broken. Neither of the staff members has faced any injury. He went on to say that Victorian Police was called to resolve the matter and now there is a sense of calmness since the brawl.

It has been said that a report would be provided after a through investigation that would be done by the service providers of the detention centre.
