Alberta to Attract More Overseas Workers

Alberta, the fastest growing province of Canada, is planning to invite more workers from abroad to its land. There has been 37% population growth in the province over the past 10 years. Consequently, big companies, like Statoil and Exxon Mobil Corp, are planning to increase their strength and thus, require the help of immigrant personnel to complete their projects.

Pursuant to a recent report, Calgary has the highest number of immigrants across Canada. Over the next decade, Calgary Oil companies are expecting to fill in more than 100,000 vacancies.  The growth of immigrants in Alberta is shaping the province in a different way. Recently, the citizens of this popular province elected Naheed Nenshi as mayor. He is the first Muslim mayor in the country.

On this occasion, Mr Nenshi was quoted as saying that very few places are there across the world, where someone from a minority ethnic and faith community, gets elected as mayor, without any kind of issue. He added that it depends on the people how they want to shape the rest of the world to make it a place wherein multiculturalism is encouraged.

Overseas immigrants will enjoy many benefits including financial growth and a high standard of living atmosphere. Several people migrate to this province as it’s quite easy to obtain a job there. The best thing about this province is that the native people are very welcoming and friendly. It is said that by putting a little effort, one can achieve much success there.
