Becoming New Zealand Resident under Entrepreneur Plus Category!

A foreign national is eligible to become a resident in New Zealand under the Entrepreneur Plus Category, if the following apply in his/her case:

  • If the person has held a work visa under the New Zealand Long Term Business category and;
  • If the person is a shareholder in a New Zealand business or if he/she owns a business in the country and;
  • If the person have invested a minimum amount of 0.5 million New Zealand Dollars in that business and;
  • If the person has been employed in that business and;
  • If the business (owned by the foreign national) must have created at least 3 full-time jobs for New Zealanders

In addition to this, in order to obtain an Entrepreneur Plus Category visa, the foreign national must have the minimum proficiency in English language. Besides, he/she has to meet the health, as well as character requirements, set by New Zealand’s immigration department for foreign nationals.
