Canada Immigration Plan for 2014 favors Economic Category

As per a report, Canada is prepared to bring-in the Express of Interest System (EoI) for enabling recruiters/job-providers to pick-up trained overseas people from the available bank of those already monitored. According to the plans, Ottawa will authorize employers/firms to choose qualified foreigners, via its EOI system. Sharing the information related to the said system, the incumbent immigration minister reportedly proclaimed that the EOI will come into force from January, 1, 2015 onwards.

Chris Alexander, the minister, stressed that though Ottawa will carry-on giving top-most preference to the nationals for the existing job-openings, it will guarantee that persons with the right skill-sets/educational expertise are drawn for catering to the workforce needs in the country.

However, the minister also maintained that though overseas labor force are needed by the nation in some conditions, the country will take care that trained foreigners are sent invites only in case the local people, with the needed skills/educational qualifications, are not available for the unoccupied job-openings in the country.

Particulars of Canada Immigration Intake

For the next year, Ottawa has made public its yearly intake for the various classes of aliens. Reportedly, 63% of the total immigration admissions will be earmarked for economic aliens. Hence, those who are keen to shift to the nation, the present time could be the perfect time. At least, it may be true for those keen to shift to the nation as economic immigrants–on the ground of free enterprise, investment, besides work-related skills.

Aside from economic aliens, 26.1% will be earmarked for those wishing to shift to the nation, through the Canada family category immigration plan. Further, a total of 68,000 persons will be permitted via Canada family category. Rest of the 28,400 or 10.9% of the total migrants will be those who are refugees and/or have humanitarian requirements.
