A recent report from a reliable source has revealed that Mr. Jason Kenney, the Immigration and Cultural Minister of Canada announced that the Government of this nation is planning to launch a New Start Up visa for immigrant entrepreneurs. He also said that consultations for making of this new immigrant entrepreneur visa program have already started.
In this connection, the Canadian Immigration Minister was quoted as saying that the main concern of the Canadian government is the creation of jobs, economic growth and thus, more prosperity in the nation. He also expressed that Canada cannot stay behind in the competition for overseas entrepreneurs among migrant-welcoming nations. The country has to proactively draw new immigrant entrepreneurs to its land, having the potentiality to build new companies which can compete internationally and can create employment opportunities for the people of Canada.
The said report has even mentioned that the main focus of the next consultations would be how the Canadian government will draw the new immigrant entrepreneurs to its land. The CIC (Citizenship & Immigration Canada) will start contacting the business associations to design the visa scheme which will attract suitable groups of businessmen. The main aspect of this scheme would be introducing the entrepreneurs to the private organizations which can help them in understanding business environment of Canada.
The introduction of this start-up visa is among the amendments being made for bringing the immigration system of Canada in proportion to the economic needs of the nation. It is an instance of a probable short term scheme that could be made applicable for a temporary 5 years period, with the number of applications less than 2,750 per year.
