Canadian Government Honors Youth Working Against Racism!

The victors of “2010 Racism Stop It! National Video Competition” have been honored by Canadian Minister Royal Galipeau, who commented that it sometimes becomes difficult to speak on issues like racism in public. Therefore, it has been commendable on behalf of the youth who participated in the competition.

The competition cuddles various participants of age group of 12 to 20. Next, they are branched into two groups (keeping in mind their age groups). The public also participated by selecting their favorite video and voting for it. They were given freedom to vote for their most liked video in 55 top entries out of the more than 300 videos.

The victors would get an all expenses trip to Canada’s Capital Region which would host the ceremony to present awards. In addition, the winning videos would be displayed on either MuchMusic or VRAK TV for a span of 30 seconds each. To further add the cherry on the cake, the victors would get a Panasonic Digital Palmcorder® Multicam™ Camcorder too!

“Racism Stop It! National Video Competition” is a great attempt to speak out against Racism on a global level and let everyone acquaint about the havocs of Racism through creative methods.
