Drug Raid in Australia, 43 Arrested!

Melbourne: Nearly 43 people have been taken into custody in what is termed as one of the gigantic drug raids in the history of Australian history. In addition to this, a close to eight thousand cannabis plants have been seized from the location.

Reports have confirmed that the police officials have till now seized seven thousand nine hundred and sixty six cannabis plants as an integral part of “Operation Entry.” The operation is decked with six hundred and thirty people from various immigration departments, federal authorities as well as officers from the taxation department.

“Operation Entry” was performed on 64 properties and 32 places all over the state were raided to drag out all the accused linked with various drug scandals. Also, 100 more properties are expected to face raids within this ongoing week.

There has been no detail regarding the nationalities of the people who have been taken into arrest, but reports speculate that there are strong connections amongst the cannabis-cultivating cartel and Vietnam, and deep collaboration with the land of Kiwis.

Authorities have confirmed that more arrests are on the cards, especially after several raids were performed on various homes and people were taken into investigation. Amongst the offences which these arrested are likely to face are cultivating commercial cannabis numbers, possessing it and trafficking it in an illegal manner.

The police has confirmed that the arrested would be taken into an overnight remand and would be shifted to Magistrates” Court in Melbourne for further investigations.

Ken Jones, who is the Deputy Commissioner, has affirmed to this fact that by far this is the largest single mobilisation of Victoria Police in opposition to the organized crime.
