Employability and capacity building is one of the prerequisites that applicants applying for New Zealand resident visa under the Skilled Migrant Category have to meet. Points are awarded for this factor under the points system for skilled immigrants.

Here are a few facts about the employability and capacity building factor:

  • Employability and capacity building factors are considered and assessed under a points system.
  • A skilled application to obtain a New Zealand resident visa can get refused, if the principal applicant does not qualify to be awarded with points for these very factors; or
  • An application can also be declined if the principal applicant does not meet other criteria which are set by the Immigration New Zealand.
    The principal applicant can be refused for issuing a New Zealand resident visa, if he/she does not qualify to be awarded with points for any of these- work experience or qualifications.
