The government of Australia seems to be fully prepared to execute a plan of setting up an Australia Immigration Advisory Committee. Ministers have already given their consents in favor of execution of the plan of forming the committee, will serve its main purpose of informing and offering advice to the government on immigration and multi-cultural related issues.
The new advisory committee will be formed by including 12 members who will be responsible to meet Australian immigration ministers at least two times in a year to inform and talk on the immigration related issues. Such members will be selected from Spanish-speaking community who will also be responsible to offer a proper advice to the government to deal some major immigration issues.
Alexis Esposto, who will be one among 12 members-committee, said that the idea of forming a committee is to highlight the problems and challenges, and taking several measures to tackle it properly.
Australia has recently formed committees mainly to converse with several minority groups, to comprehend the increasing multicultural identity. The 12-member committee will be headed by Esposto, fully inspired from standardized committees for Chinese minorities, Italian and Filipino.
As of Australian census 2006, there were nearly 90,000 Spanish-speaking people residing in Australia, contributed significant roles in accelerating Australian economy growth. The census revealed it clearly that the number of all minority groups in Australia have increased largely, since the last Australian census held.
