House Republicans Favor US Immigration Reorganization Act

As per a report, two Republican members of the House of Representatives have approved an all-inclusive immigration reform act which would fundamentally renovate the US immigration structure. The Act is not different from the bill of the identical name already given a green signal by the Senate. As it’s known, a bipartisan grouping of 8 US senators–famous as the Gang of Eight–had prepared the Senate’s edition of The Act.

One of the representatives reportedly, through a statement, said that it’s crucial to keep the discussion going in attempting to improve the out-of-order immigration structure. The concerned person added that any approach, that duly assists the nation move the discussions ahead, is favored.

Reportedly, the said two Republicans are the lone Republican members (out of 231) of the House who have overtly backed the Act. Despite the fact that the Democrats control the Senate, the Act required 60% backing to sail through. Hence, it needed the backing of the Republicans.

Tea Party Republicans against Restructuring

The Democrats dominated senate has passed the act. However, it must gain green signal from the House as well so that it becomes a law. As it’s known, the Republicans control the House even as several of them are in the House thanks to the backing of the radical right-wing Tea Party group. Though the said party has no policy, its members are mainly against big administration, against immigration and, much more importantly, against the incumbent US President.
