Huge Jobs Hiring Helps Lower Unemployment Rate In Australia!

The huge number of jobs hiring in Australia over the last three months has pushed down the nation’s unemployment rate to a considerable percentage. Australia has created 100,000 jobs in the said months, of which the maximum number of jobs was being created in the state of Victoria. The extraordinary growth of job has lowered Australia’s unemployment rate to 5.7 percent, whereas the rate in Britain 7.8 percent; 6.5 percent in New Zealand; 10 percent in the US and 19.3 percent in Spain.

Victoria with the highest number of jobs is being touted as the ‘engine room of the Australian economy’. As per the statistics, the state has appointed a total number of 37,900 full-time workers during the period between October and November. During this period, it created almost 1200 jobs on a day. Of the total number of jobs, a maximum number of jobs were for new positions, while 14,100 jobs replaced earlier part-time jobs. This marked Victoria as the Australian state with highest jobs growth for seventh straight month.

When it comes to jobs gain over the last year, Victoria again recorded a satisfying statistics. Victoria has been a lucky and resourceful state even in the time of global meltdown. It created 73,200 jobs, whereas the rest of the nation lost 3520 jobs. The state’s current unemployment rate is 5.4 percent. It is quite interesting to see that Victoria is generating jobs at the time when other Australian states are losing jobs. The extraordinary rise in jobs in Victoria proved to be a Christmas present to Victorian families!
