On the 10th anniversary of his father’s death, Minister Justin Trudeau visited Saskatoon. During his visit, he confronted a one hour question and answer session with the students of political science. This was decked with major facets like immigration and what are the views of people on the aspect of political system.
He told the students that one of the biggest challenges which lie ahead of him is to bring more and more young brigade in the field of politics in the coming future. Other important issues also formed a part of this discussion during his brief stay at Saskatoon.
Trudeau stated that the ability to prosper depends on two major things. One is the young generation of this country and the other one is the facet of immigration.
His other areas of concern were the gaps created between First Nations and non-First Nations communities that are working in Canada. He also suggested that provinces like Ottawa are required to make investments in communities which will allow the young generation to gain empowerment and come out with own solutions. The Minister said that is should be ensured that First Nations University should come out as soon as possible.
Saying about his father Pierre Trudeau, who was Canada’s 15th prime minister, the Minister stated that he was the only who infused in him the great values and made him the person he is at present.
