The anticipated victory of the Liberal Democrat might slowly come to a halt. This has been after the British right-wing media quizzed the party on its plans on immigration to the United Kingdom.

As per the Liberal Democrats, they would permit some of the asylum seekers to work in the United Kingdom. This has led to a lot of negative approach and was termed as being “laughable”. It has been said this would add to the already existing problems pertaining to immigration in the United Kingdom. It would be similar to putting out a welcome board for more refugees to come in.

This policy has been subject to criticism by many political reviewers with reports suggesting Liberal Democrats having control over the Sheffield Council. More so, this new policy has been implemented in the area.

However, the party claimed that they were being responsive to the demands of the public. As per them, the public felt that these asylum seekers should be put to some use which would contribute to the economy. This way they would earn the benefits in return instead of simply claiming it.

According to a statement made by them, this new policy would save a lot of money that comes from the taxpayers. More so, it would give these undocumented migrants a chance to earn a living instead of being dependent.

Immigration is definitely a much talked about issue amongst the voters and there are obviously those who would not permit these so-called different policies.
