The government of Saskatchewan has thrown open an ambitious state based skills migration program for the willing skilled immigrants who are ready to enter the state and settle down permanently. This new classification manifested as “International Skilled Workers Category” has been integrated into the state based nomination program from the start of this year. The new classification will enable people with at least a post-secondary academic accomplishment and extensive high skills practical exposure to place their requests for migrating to the state.
The traits of profile must be defined with practical exposure which matches the academic credentials, exposure, linguistic compatibility and certain other aspects, etc. These factors are considered critical for the settlement of the new entrants into the local environment of the state successfully. As per the state government this New Addition to SNIP (Saskatchewan) will help bolster the domestic labor pool of the state.
You can place your request for the new Addition to SINP from January 02, 2014 even if, you reside offshore. To qualify for this scheme, you would need to
- Attain at least 60 marks out of 100 in critical profile assessment process
- Substantiate that you have
- Necessary academic accomplishments for the trade
- A practical exposure of at least 1 year in past decade (immediately preceding the date of application) in the indicated profession. (the pre requisite must be satisfied in case you are not having an employment offer from state based employer)
- Evidence that your linguistic skills are at least at par with CLB 4 (although employment giving agencies or controlling bodies may need a higher level of language compatibility)
- Substantiate the fact that you have obtained mandatory approvals from relevant state level authorities to practice in your trade (in case your profession is included in schedule of licensed professions
As per the statutes of the New SINP Addition, you must supply either
- A regular job offer which is based in the state in a trade illustrated in either of NOC classes, “A”, “B”, “0”, or designated trade tabulation, or
- If you do not have a job offer as indicated above, your academic accomplishments must be trades indicated in NOC “A”, “B” or “0” that is considered to be an in-demand in Saskatchewan.
