Postal System in Canada!

Being a newcomer in Canada requires you to understand so many day-to-day facets of living a Canadian life. One such facet is to know about the postal system in Canada. All the mails are handled by the Canada Post Corporation.

In order to send mails, you are required to make use of postage stamps which are available at all the post offices across the country. In addition, these postal stamps can be purchased at various drug shops and stations of various modes of commuting like train, buses and airplanes.

It depends on the weight and size of the letter or the item that you are going to send to see how much cost of the stamp will come out to be. It is mandatory to include the postal as well as the return address in your envelop in case it comes back to its owner. If the person is sending it to a place outside Canada, it is essential to write the special code of that nation where you are intending to send it. These codes can be taken from the post office near you.

There are many services offered by the post offices. Some of them are express delivery and getting your mail insured too (to name a few)! In case your parcel is damaged or lost in between, your insurance will assist you in further procedures. The cost may vary from delivery to delivery. For instance, if it is an express delivery, it will cost higher as compared to a normal one.

Mails are distributed five days a week, from Monday to Friday barring special occasions, say an official off.
