Registered Nurse (Mental Health) is the occupation which is present on the ANZSCO (a list which shows the occupations which are in high demand in Australia.) Tasks and Responsibilities
- In addition to taking care of the additional requirements of the patients, the main task of the applicant includes providing nursing care to them who are facing from mental illness.
- The applicant needs to take care of those patients suffering from mental disorder and dysfunction as well as catering to the needs of those facing emotional disturbances or are in distress of health.
- The applicant needs to fulfill the demands of these patients and provide welfare and aged care facilities in addition to the correctional services.
- Registration or licensing is required.
Qualification
- This occupation requires the applicant to have a minimum of bachelor degree or a higher qualification.
- In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be demanded from the applicant.
- All the above mentioned qualifications may be needed at one time by some employers.
