According to reports by Immigration Office, Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Nepal, it has been confirmed that more and more tourists have arrived in the month of May as compared to the same month, last year. Clearly, this depicts the enhancement of Nepali tourism amidst the tourists from all over the world.
The enhancement in tourists has been seen from South Asian region. In addition, tourists from countries like Bangladesh and Pakistan has shown a positive outcome as far as the arrival is concerned. Indian tourists are not lagging behind either. A marginal growth of 4.3% has been witnessed as compared to the last year. Amongst these South Asian countries, only Sri Lanka was the one which was lagging behind in terms of overall tourists to Nepal.
Let us throw some light on the arrivals from the UK. The percentage is up by 4.9%.
When we talk about China, the country has been applauded with a massive growth of 35% as far as tourists to Nepal are concerned, in addition to Japanese visitors who have shown an enhancement of 13.9%. Talking about Asian countries barring the South Asian nations, a decline has been noticed in the overall trend of tourists flocking in the Month of May 2010. South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand seem to be lagging behind when it comes to being the source provider of tourists to Nepal.
The data clearly depicts as to how quick Nepal is becoming one of the leading tourist destinations in the world. The growth in the overseas tourist arrivals has increased since last year.
