Key Eligibility Criteria for UK Skilled Worker Visa

The UK Skilled Worker visa enables individuals to work in eligible positions within the country for approved employers. It has replaced the Tier 2 (General) Work Visa and is one of the most sought-after work visas offered by the UK. Applicants must be selected based on their skills and the shortage occupation list to be eligible for this visa. No labor market test is required if an offer letter is obtained.

Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) for Skilled Worker Visa in UK

Your UK sponsor must first offer you a current Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) to certify that the sponsorship eligibility conditions are satisfied before you may apply for the Skilled Worker visa. A CoS, a reference number that must be submitted with the Home Office application, can only be issued by licensed sponsors.

A specified CoS is necessary for people requesting a Skilled Worker visa from outside the country. Employers will use the sponsorship management system to apply for defined certificates. Up to three months before the first day of employment, you may apply for a visa.

Note: If you are looking for work in Austria, you may consider the Austria Job Seeker visa. This visa allows you to enter Austria for a period of six months to look for work.
