US Act on Immigration Reform in 2015–the much debated and contentious issue deciding the fate of almost 11 million illegal immigrants in the nation–is something that was in the cold storage. But, now things have started to shape, and more optimistic angle has been sought to help those immigrants who are facing continuous threat of deportation. The President of the US, Barak Obama, has taken a bold initiative, and proposed to end all kinds of ill treatment, like deportation, estranging the immigrants, and ill treatment that is meted out to them.
The authorities back there seek to address the issue that has been the most contentious issue and ability of the Democrats to deal with it will unravel new realms in the Presidential election that is about to happen in 2016. The steps that the President has taken to do justice with those who have come to the US some 50 to 60 years ago are good. Still, it needs more amendments, since it requires a greater say to pave the process.
There were loads of images going viral on the Internet that showed thousands of families that have borne the brunt of staunch immigration reforms, and those families that are facing the pain of living away from their families, and those parents and families that have been divided only because of US immigration programmes.
Some new and optimistic step is required to streamline the immigration mess and the Obama plan that has been proposed to deal with deportation and transportation of immigrants who do not have all the papers that are required to make them legal has to be revamped.
The programme, at its present form, is not able to provide due protection to the families of those who are living there as immigrants, and it needs to be carefully planned out and implemented. Last year, a human right report unraveled that almost 50,000 parents of the US citizens have been severely dealt in the immigration process and they are either apprehended, or deported. Such figure would numb you for certain. But, it is happening in the US and it needs some serious thinking to be dealt away with.
Next year, election would be one of the most simmering things that would happen in the US, and million dreams would depend on the election. Obama is dynamic towards providing the basic rights to these immigrants, and exiling them is not the ultimate solution to it. The main purpose should be to carve-out a way and help those 11 million American brothers and sisters to help them get their basic rights.
Deporting them is not the solution to it. Rather, it should be realized that they have contributed to the nation building, and it is the right time for the president to prove that he is the president of 30 million aspiring minds. And, if the US wants to show itself as the driving force, then it should plan out act on the immigration reform before 2015 ends, and it should become a reality when the first vote is cast in 2016.
