US needs Immigration Reform, Suggests a Book

A new book entitled ‘The Immigrant Exodus: Why America Is Losing the Global Race to Capture Entrepreneur Talent, claimed that US is losing its charm of being the most prominent destination for overseas talents and advocated immigration reform.

Authored by Vivek Wadhwa, the book made it clear that the United States finding it difficult to attract immigrants, only because of its immigration policy, which needs to be reformed.

Mr. Wadhwa, who himself entered the United States as an immigrant, conceded that whatever the US is today, just because of its acceptance of overseas immigrants. The book has recently been reviewed by Richard Luce, who is working as a chief correspondent with Financial Times.

Wadhwa through his book revealed that he became overwhelmed and fell in love with the country, when he first travelled as a child with his father. Being a well known US media commentator, he also became a successful entrepreneur and performed the role of an academic at the number of institutions and universities. Subsequently, he established other businesses as well.

Wadhwa then also explained various other obstacles that prompt immigrants to find other options (Immigration country). And such immigrants then set their eyes on several other most popular countries like Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Canada and more.

He finally offered his suggestion in favor of focusing on skilled migration, which should be given more weightage. It will definitely support the economic growth as well as increase the number of employment opportunities. He also proved the point of falling in the number of immigrants coincided with a decreasing number of patents lodged by the United States citizens.

Wadhwa also proved the fact of falling number of H-1B visa by presenting a relevant statistics. Moreover, he remains focused on the migration of skilled graduates, which is quite difficult and time elapsing.  Such graduates now show their lack of interests in migrating to the US and choose Australia, Canada and other countries for immigration.
