Skilled Independent Visa

It is a points-based program. It is for those skilled people who could not get sponsored by a family member or an employer, a state or territory. It allows applicant to permanently live and work anywhere in Australia. Some family members can be included in the application.

Skilled – Nominated

This is again points-based scheme is for skilful workers. These people are nominated by a state or territory. It also allows a person to live and work permanently anywhere in Australia. Specific family members can be included in the application.

Skilled – Nominated or Sponsored (Provisional)

This points-based visa is for skilled employees who are sponsored by a state or territory or nominated by an appropriate relative living in a selected area in Australia. It is valid for four years, and a visa holder must live and work in a stated regional area. Particular family members can be included in the application. This will permit holders of provisional visa subclasses 495, 496, 475 and 487 to live in Australia for up to 2 years from the date their current visa was granted.

Subclass 457

It allows a business to employ somebody from outside Australia in a skilled job. It provides permission for working in Australia for up to four years and you may also bring your family with you and travel in and out of country as frequently as you want to.

Employer Nomination Scheme

This program is for skilled employees from outside country or skilled temporary residents who are already living and working in Australia. It has three ways.

1. The Temporary Residence Transition- It is for subclass 457 visa holders who have worked for 48 months and their company wants to provide them a permanent position.
2. The Direct Entry stream- It is for those who have never, or only temporarily, worked in the Australian labour market.
3. The Agreement stream- It is for people nominated by an employer via a labour or regional migration agreement.
