End of an Immigration Nightmare

In a recent news, wife of a San Francisco bus driver and her two stepsons escaped deportation and won their right to remain in the United States.

The reasons for which the family was facing the threat of deportation was a schoolyard punching. Reports say that the woman, Tracey Washington and her two sons were staying on expired visa waivers. The eldest son got involved in bashing his schoolmate and grabbing money from him.

Also, the mother and sons were earlier ordered to move out of the country for Australia, their country of origin. But now they have a reason to rejoice as they learned that the mother and son have received the green card, but her husband Charles Washington, has a different story to tell. He criticized the policies of Mayor Gavin Newsom, stating that these policies hurt families and snatch the innocent kids away from their parents for small offenses. He said that he shared the same pain with those clans whose children were sent to ICE custody.

He went on to say that it was the unique luck of his family which got them out of this hurdle, but he targeted the Mayor stating that the pain they felt which the family was going through all this was NOT unique.

According to Newsom spokesman Tony Winnicker, the Mayor is happy that the case has been resolved now. But this doesn’t mean that he is not rooting away from suspecting undocumented immigrants.

So, its a happy ending as it marks an end of a ling awaited Immigration dilemma.
