It has become official that from now onwards, immigrations advisors in New Zealand need to have a license, an aspect which would further secure the prospective applicants from facing any frauds in their application procedures. The news has been confirmed by Registrar of Immigration Advisers Barry Smedts.
He went on to confirm that from now onwards, consultants advising about aspects related to New Zealand immigration are required to have license until and unless they are provide some exempt, and the rule is applicable for all the advisors who are into business of providing consultancy related to NZ immigration.
Smedts confirmed that the advisers are asked to go through an assessment method and ensure that they satisfied every aspect of the procedure to qualify for the same. The applicants would be judged on seven basic facets which would determine their standards that are expected from them.
These facets include qualifications, knowledge of this license aspect, in addition to knowing the regulations of Immigration, capacity to file applications, proficiency in the English language, knowing business practices as well as capacity to maintain activities linked with professional development.
Another reason to introduce this legislation is to ensure that prospective immigrants gain ample confidence in the standard of consultancy that they get from the immigration experts. People who will fail to meet the standards will be having no connections with the business which relate to providing Immigration related advice to NZ. If they fail to meet the requirements, they don’t relate to this industry, he added.
