During a seizure carried out by the UK Border Agency, UK’s Chinese restaurant and takeaway, named China Royal was fined a huge amount after learning that the restaurant employed an unlawful worker in it. The China Royal is an award winning restaurant in the UK.
The raid by the UKBA had taken place earlier this month. On their visit, the immigration officials carried out a proper check of the restaurant’s employees’ UK visa and other important credentials and that is when they found the Chinese man guilty of working in the restaurant unlawfully. Later the officials learnt that the man was a failed refuge seeker in the United Kingdom.
The restaurant in question is located in Bridge Street, North Lincolnshire, UK. The owner of the restaurant will possibly face a high amount of fine, about £10,000, in case he will not be able to prove that they have carried out all the checks, in terms of his background and immigration status prior to provide the Chinese man employment. As for the illegal worker, the immigration officials are considering his deportation from the United Kingdom as immediately as possible.
Both illegal employments provided by any employer and working illegally on the part of the worker are considered serious offenses in the UK. All these instances do nothing, but hurt the communities in the large. The UKBA has declared that any such offense will not be tolerated and those who attempt to break the country’s rules and regulations, will be entitled to higher penalties and other challenges.
