The government of Canada is making investments more than $1.6 million in order to assist children who immigrate from all over the world and their clan in settling down in London, Ontario.
The program applauded as the Settlement Workers in Schools (SWIS) is aimed at offering these kin with a kind of orientation which is interactive in nature, to the Ontario school system. In addition to this, these people would be given referrals so that they can contact with the settlement agencies and other community support services.
According to Ed Holder, who is the Member of Parliament for London West, the Canadian government is assisting the new migrants coming in the country so that they and their clan can settle down and succeed.
Another statement came from Dr. Eric Hoskins, who is the Ontario Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. He stated that the government of Canada is aware of the fact that assisting the newcomers would directly or indirectly lead to their success.
Since last five years, the government has increased its investment on the settlement services of these newcomers and their clan who come to Ontario by almost thrice.
