Criteria for a Business Benefiting NZ- Entrepreneur Category!

An individual applying for New Zealand immigration under the country’s Entrepreneur Category is deemed to meet certain basic requirements, including evidence against establishing a business in the kiwi country which must be benefiting the country. Let us have a look at the criteria for a business benefiting New Zealand:

  • A business is said to be benefiting the Kiwi country if the business promotes the country’s growth by the following:

(a) Introducing new technology, or enhancing the already existing technology as well as management  and technical skills; OR

(b) Introducing new products and services or enhancing the existing ones; OR

(c) Creating now or expanding the existing export markets; OR

(d) Generating jobs for a Kiwi citizen or resident; OR

(e) Revamping an existing Kiwi business; AND

  • A business is considered benefiting NZ if it is trading profitably on the date of filing the immigration application. Or, the immigration official must get convinced that the business would become profitable within a time frame of 1 year.
